Leave.EU has launched an advertising campaign over social media targeting pro-EU MPs in Leave constituencies.
Below is a letter by our chairman, Arron Banks that we will shortly be sending to Leave.EU supporters. It highlights the outstanding response to our summer fundraising campaign that puts the likes of Momentum in the shade.
As you know, we’ve been raising funds for the Blue Wave movement to help make the Conservatives Conservative again. We wanted to update you on our progress and to thank you for your help so far.
Since July 1, we have received approximately £250,000 from almost 9,500 individual members concerned about Brexit and the Chequers sell out.
I want to personally thank everyone. It’s a brilliant effort.
We will spend this money launching an all-out assault on those who are anti-Brexit, starting with anti-democratic Tory MPs who have been trying to undermine the referendum result.
We’ve begun by targeting Damian Collins, MP for Folkestone and Hythe and chairman of the House of Commons select committee on Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Next week we will write to every voter in his constituency urging them to join the Conservative Party so that they can deselect him.
Mr Collins has proved himself to be a snake in the grass by consorting with a Left-wing Guardian journalist who wants to keep the UK in the EU and by using his committee to attack Brexit. This committee is comprised solely of Remain-backing MPs who – surprise surprise – have only called Leave campaigners to give evidence or questioned people with an agenda designed to discredit Brexit. He even appeared at a Left-wing Momentum-style festival at an event sponsored by a group called CAGE, which has strong links to Islamic Terror. Some Conservative MP!
Next, we intend to write to every voter in Amber Rudd’s Hastings and Rye seat calling for them to join the Tories in order to deselect her. Having previously claimed she would respect the referendum result, Ms Rudd told ITV’s ‘Peston’ programme on September 26 that she would “absolutely” back a second referendum. We think this is disgraceful.
On a more positive note, we intend to help great Brexit Conservative MPs with funding pages so that they have the resource they need to fight and win!
